New Girl: Menus

1. Jessica Day: Last night's New Girl episode kicked off with Jessica getting shut down by her principal every time she brought up a new idea to make the kid's school days more enjoyable. All Jess wants to do is make a difference so she goes on a rampage trying to do so. She gets into a fight with the local Chinese restaurant who keeps putting menus in her apartment. She tries to "save" the environment by informing Brian that nobody needs that many menus delivered to them. Brian does not listen to her, so Jess decides to just give up. She feels that if she can not save the environment or help her kid's see the cool wonders of the world then what's the point. *cue Nick Miller*
   
   
2. Nick and Coach: Coach is trying to get Nick to do something with his life and to start by getting off the couch and working out. After working out Coach hopes that Nick will have enough energy and motivation to go out and try something new or to help someone succeed. Nick reverts to his habits of eating and sitting on the couch and in turn Coach becomes depressed. Coach feels like ever since his girlfriend broke up with him that he has lost his purpose in life. Nick believes Coach and Jess are being ridiculous and he is sparked with motivation and gives them a pep talk. Inspired by his words Jess rents a van and takes her students to see the ocean herself.
   
   
3. Schmidt: Well Schmidt being separated from the group did not last long. Last night his jealousy continued over Coach and Nick's bonding that he tried to install a Nanny Cam, which was a clear sign that he wanted back in. At the end of the episode Jess gives him the key back and all was right in the world. I am very excited to see Nick, Jess, Coach, Winston and Schmidt all live in that apartment. I think it will be an awesome dynamic, and one can only assume Schmidt will make Coach move into Jess' room forcing Nick and Jess to share a room.

This show never fails to make me smile and laugh, the Friday Night Light's shout-out was my favourite thing tonight. This show is very witty and well written and I think once HIMYM is over New Girl will take over as one of my favourite shows on television.
